1965 Al spent a long Summer season at the "Lido" Margate appearing in the "Golden Garter show"

1966 He recorded a track on an an LP with George Browns Alabama Hayriders on the King Label. The album contained all original material.  The track was entitled “All my dreams”

Those performing on the Album included:

George Brown - Lead Guitar

Geoff Brown - -Banjo

Gordon Huntley - Pedal Steel Guitar

Del Michael - Vocals

Marion White - Vocals

1969 Al formed his first band after performing for so long as a solo artist. He advertised and the "Frontier Express" was born. The first band was a 3 piece band that performed around the South East whilst Al still performed Solo at venues around the Country.

The original band changed with Bill Smith- guitar and Bernie Smith - Lead guitar replacing Jeff Alexandra and Geoff.

The band were in much demand and expanded to add a bass guitarist Ron wheeler.
